NYECC Membership
Membership Categories

Owners of real estate in New York City and/or Westchester County.

Owners of affordable housing real estate in New York City and/or Westchester County. A minimum of 50% of total real estate owned in NYC and Westchester County must be affordable housing.

Tenant members must lease a minimum of 100,000 square feet of space in a single location or in total at multiple locations.
If one or more of the tenant spaces is in a building owned by an NYECC Consumer of Energy Member, the building owner must approve the tenant in order to move forward in the membership process.
If a tenant is in an energy related business, the company will need to apply under the Associate Membership Category.

Associate Members
Consultants or consumer representatives.
Energy Service Supply Companies (ESCOs)
Companies that supply energy – electricity and/or natural gas to buildings. This membership category does not have voting rights.
Professional Associations
Trade Associations, Member Associations and other similar organizations that are not-for profit or non-profit.
Emerging Professionals
An individual with less than five years of professional experience in the real estate or energy industry. Requirement to be active on one committee. Membership is for one year with an option for a second year based on board approval. This membership category does not pay dues and does not have voting rights.

Members of the NYECC find unique value in the organization through real time updates on all energy issues affecting members, interaction with leaders in energy, and the ability to have a voice with regard to issues of concern.
